Samantha & Sean | A St. Louis Wedding

Where do I even begin to describe Sam and Sean’s wedding?!  Hmmmm…let’s start with Sean.  Matt and I have worked with Sean at our “day” job for at least the last five years.  I even tried to “hook Sean up” with a couple of nice young ladies…but his ‘dates’ always turned out the same. . .there wasn’t a trace of excitement in his voice when he would describe them…that is…until he met Samantha!  Once we found out they were getting married, we were SO excited, and very honored that they asked us to be their wedding photographers!!

Wedding Details:

  • Date: September 5, 2009
  • Wedding Location: Canaan Baptist Church, St. Louis, MO
  • Interim Photos:  Bee Tree Park, St. Louis
  • Reception Photos: Andre’s on Telegraph

We actually didn’t meet Sam until their wedding day.  One of the first things she told me was that she wasn’t very traditional.  I was curious as to what she meant, and then she showed me her gorgeous wedding dress.  Instead of white or ivory, Samantha wore a silver dress.  In a word, it was simply beautiful.

Now, take a look at the bride.  Be jealous, very jealous.  Her eyes are amazing!  And the looks she could give on demand…LOVED IT…she made my job SO EASY!  ;)

Before the wedding we took a couple of photos in the church library…notice the book titles.

Sam’s son, Bryce, was the lucky gent to walk her down the aisle…

I love Sean’s look as he watches his bride walk towards him.

After the wedding, we made two quick stops…the couple’s new home, and Bee Tree Park.

Of course at their new home, Sean had to carry Sam over the threshold!   Stormer-792 Stormer-805 Stormer-832oldskool Stormer-892 Stormer-894rusty

We rapidly ran out of quality lighting, so we headed on over to the reception hall, where the couple shared their first official dance as man and wife.

Oh, and Sean’s friends made sure he was shackled to a real “ball and chain”….

Sean & Sam…words can’t even express how happy we are for the two of you.  Your wedding was amazing as the two of you, and we wish you continued love and happiness!  Thank you for everything, we are so blessed to be a part of your lives!
